My name is Mel Williams
At this website, you’ll find a comprehensive guide for How To Play Guitar.
Who am I? Why trust me?
With scrutinizingly 30 years of playing guitar and nearly 20 years teaching guitar, I have the wits to help you learn to play guitar better, faster, and increasingly efficiently! I have had some notable experiences that have shaped my understanding of the guitar including, but not limited to: performing in a Masterclass with Grammy Award Winning Classical Guitarist David Russell, (among other unconfined classical guitar students, my instructor at the time). Moreover I have performed with Chad Lefkowitz-Brown (an up and coming Jazz Saxophonist who now lives in NYC.)
Here are many of the guitar teachers I have studied with:
Hugh Douglas (jazz guitarist who studied with Paul Bollenback)
Mark Burin (Berklee grad)
Casey Mallow (Berklee grad)
But this shouldn’t be all well-nigh me… this is all well-nigh you!!
My goal for this website is to help you, the budding guitarist, icon out this huge and often troublemaking universe of how to play guitar. There are now so many websites, videos, books, blogs, vlogs, Q&A forums, etc.!!! YOU at this point, are probably just wondering “how in the world am I gonna icon this out?!?!”
I understand how you are feeling! I was once there also. But I didn’t have 1/2 of the resources that are now misogynist to you, me, and the vast musical universe found on the internet. Yet you do! At this point, you really don’t have any reason why you can’t learn to play the guitar, except that you might not plane know where to start.
Let me help you! Let me hold your hand (unless that is just weird to you), and walk you through all of this “stuff” you have to manuever through and help YOU icon it out. Let me show you all that I know, and I how I “figured it out” day by day, moment by moment, until one day you will wake up and realize “I do know how to play guitar!”
